How it all began
From the very beginning, God has been at work guiding, growing, and shaping this fellowship for His glory.

Stenson Fields Christian Fellowship began through a children’s ministry at the local school, which was first established in 1989. As children and their families came to trust in Christ, a small group of local believers recognised the need for a church rooted in the heart of Stenson Fields. They began meeting in homes around 1993, praying and planning until, in 1996, God opened the door for a piece of land to be purchased on Pilgrims Way. Through His clear provision, the finances were raised to buy the land and build the church building that still serves as our base today.
From those small beginnings, God has continued to grow the work. Today, Stenson Fields Christian Fellowship is involved in a range of ministries, from toddler groups and coffee mornings to family events and the children’s ministry Explorers, which sparked it all. At the heart of everything we do is a desire to share the good news of Jesus with our community.
A key moment every other year is Real Lives week, a time when families gather to hear powerful, personal stories of faith. It’s a particular joy to now welcome children whose parents once came to those same kids’ clubs, as they return each Friday night for songs, games, Bible stories, and the hope that continues to shape our church: that more lives might be reached and transformed by Christ.
